Vintage “Century” Cross Ballpoint Pen and Pencil Set, Engraved with Name This vintage Cross pen and pencil set has the following markings at the top just beneath the black cap: "1/20 12K Gold Filled Century Made in USA". Under the cap of the pencil, impressed in the metal, is "Use 2 3/4 " Thin Lead". Also under the cap are the original eraser (which has hardened somewhat) and several extra leads in the barrel. The ballpoint pen has a medium blue ballpoint pen refill in it which will probably need to be replaced soon. The pencil doesn't have any lead in it and doesn't seem to rotate very much, so I am not sure whether or not it is still functional. The name of the pen owner is engraved on the outside of the pen ("Alice White"); I could find no engraving on the pencil. The engraving is not really evident but can be seen if looked for. Even though the pen set is well over 35 years old, it is in fairly good condition. There are some surface scratches but no dents or dings; there is virtually no wearing of the metal surface at the end of each piece. The pencil From the condition of both pen and pencil, these writing implements were not used very much at all.
