COVER: NM-, opened shrink VINYL: EX This was a limited run LP recorded in Crusade Studio, Flora, Illinois. The sessions were produced by Alison Krauss's family and by Jim Hoiles the old time fiddler and musicologist. Bruce (Swamp) Weiss helped with the arrangements and production. The recordings were all taped in one long day session. Louise Krauss (Alison's mom) produced the album photo art cover. This was recorded when Alison was only 14 years old and proves the genius level of her talent at a remarkable age. Alison's brother Viktor (bass) elevates many of these pieces to a jazz level - inspiring his future career in Jazz and Popular music. Swamp Weiss became known as "The Sideman" for these sessions, but recorded original acoustic albums as a solo performer. Only 300 LPs were pressed. Record Grading STILL SEALED (SS) - Still in original shrink, never opened. Any shelf-wear, drill hole, saw mark or cut corners will be noted. Please Note that a sealed album doesn't mean a mint album. Some imperfections are only discovered after an album is opened, inspected and played. NEAR MINT (NM) - The album has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete. EXCELLENT (EX) - Not as good as NM but better than VG+ VERY GOOD + (VG+) - Used but very well taken care of. Covers will show signs of use. May exhibit slight ring wear, corner dings, creases, slight color fading. Vinyl may have light marks, scuffs or scratches. May exhibit slight warps that do not affect play. May exhibit slight surface noise, crackle or pop that won't over power the overall listening experience. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector. VERY GOOD (VG) - A used well-loved, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear to the cover. The vinyl too will have marks and usually light surface noise between tracks and during quiet passages. Shipping/Packaging Information Items are shipped within 24 hours of Paypal payment using USPS with tracking information . If an item is purchased Saturday after 12:00 noon EST or during Holidays the items will be mailed on the next USPS business day. I will only ship using USPS Priority Mail. Most of the albums I sell are hard to find, rare and higher priced and don't need to be sitting around in a mail cart for days or weeks using media mail. Postage charges are automatically based on your location. All records are removed from the album covers (except sealed albums) to prevent seam splitting of the album cover during the shipping process. All items are packaged securely and responsibly using album mailers and are reinforced and/or double boxed. All albums and records are placed in mylar storage bags before packaging.
