I'm thinning my collection of die cast 1/43rd scale F1 cars. Offered here is the 2009 Renault F28 as driven by Nelson Piquet Jr. during that controversial season where he was ordered to crash his car at the Singapore GP to hand the win to team mate Fernando Alonso, and then lost his drive when it leaked to the press about the plan. The model is by Minichamps and includes the usual excellent quality and detail. Due to the above mentioned controversy, Minichamps was not allowed to print Piquet's name on the base as they usually do, so it just says "R28 Number 8". But it is Piquet in the cockpit and his name is on the fairing behind him. NO RESERVE. Serious bidders only please.
